The Female Founders Conference is an annual startup conference led by Y-Combinator. The conference was initiated as a platform for successful women of the startup industry to share their stories with upcoming female entrepreneurs. The theme for the conference’s event was based on two concepts: disruption and emergence. Disruption represented the push back against the status quo for women in a male-dominated industry. Emergence represented the growing succession of women-led startups.
